On February 10, Ambassador Moin Ul Haq, Pakistani Ambassador to China, and his delegation visited the Guangzhou Software Application Technology Research Institute (referred to as Guangzhou Software Institute) and Cogniser Head Quarters for investigation and research. The delegation consists of Li Fangqi (Deputy Chief Economist of Nansha District), Lin Jinxiao (Deputy Director of Nansha District Science and Technology Bureau), Yuan Feng (Executive Vice President of Guangzhou Software Institute), Li Yin (Vice president), Zhang Yanfeng (Assistant to the President), Wu Jun (Director of the Intelligence Video Laboratory China Research Institute of National University of Science and Technology) participated in the meeting. Ms. Xiang Yang (Director of China Study Center NUST) remotely joined the meeting along with the staff of the China-Pakistan Intelligence System Laboratory in NUST Pakistan.
The symposium was chaired by Li Yin (Vice President) and Li Fangqi (Deputy Chief Economist of Nansha District). They warmly welcomed the arrival of Ambassador Moin Ul Haq and his delegation. They introduced the relevant situation of Nansha District in detail and expressed that by relying on the laboratory, the Guangzhou Institute of Software and NUST will strengthen friendly exchanges of knowledge and manpower and build mutual cooperation. Furthermore, they expressed their hopes to encourage the transfer of cutting-edge knowledge in the two places and radiating good technological innovation results to more countries along the “Belt and Road.”
Li Fangqi (Deputy Chief Economist of Nansha District) and Lin Jinxiao (Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Bureau) accompanied Ambassador Moin Ul Haq and his delegation to visit Cogniser Head Quarters, the incubation enterprises of Guangzhou Software Institute.
They watched the application of smart light poles and Cogniser-V1 in smart cities and experienced face recognition access control along with smart fitness equipment – GYMBOT.
In the end, Ambassador Moin Ul Haq and Li Fangqi (Deputy Chief Economist of Nansha District) exchanged souvenirs, hoping the special friendship between China and Pakistan would last forever.
